One example is the use of wire brushes with special wire in surface technology and electroplating.

• Surface technology: In surface technology, wire brushes with special wire are used to create or refine certain surface structures. This special wire can be made of different materials, such as stainless steel, steel alloys or copper. The wire brushes can be manufactured with different wire diameters and bristle densities, depending on the requirements.
• Electroplating: In electroplating, wire brushes with special wire are used in the pretreatment of workpieces that are to be electroplated. Here, for example, a wire-brushing process called "brush trimming" or "brush deburring" is used. Before electroplating, the workpieces are cleaned with the wire brushes and at the same time freed from unwanted burrs or sharp edges. This enables improved adhesion of the coating and more even distribution of the electroplated coating.
